Capitol Hill

Capitol Hill is the seat of the U.S. government, home to the domed United States Capitol, Senate, Houses of Representatives and the neoclassical Supreme Court. It’s also known for the redbrick Eastern Market, where vendors sell produce, meat and cheese throughout the week, and handicrafts and antiques on weekends. Barracks Row is lined with an eclectic mix of bakeries, pizzerias and global eateries.

White House

Smithsonian Museum

The Smithsonian Institution simply the Smithsonian, is a group of museums and education and research centres, the largest such complex in the world, created by the U.S. government “for the increase and diffusion of knowledge”.Founded on August 10, 1846, it operates as a trust instrumentality and is not formally a part of any of the three branches of the federal government. The institution is named after its founding donor, British scientist James Smithson. It was originally organized as the United States National Museum, but that name ceased to exist administratively in 1967.

Goddard Space Flight Center

The Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) is a major NASA space research laboratory located approximately 6.5 miles (10.5 km) northeast of Washington, D.C. in Greenbelt, Maryland, United States. Established on May 1, 1959, as NASA’s first space flight centre, GSFC employs approximately 10,000 civil servants and contractors. It is one of ten major NASA field centres, named in recognition of American rocket propulsion pioneer Robert H. Goddard. GSFC is partially within the former Goddard census-designated place; it has a Greenbelt mailing address.

Sri Siva Vishnu Temple

Sri Siva Vishnu Temple (SSVT) is a Hindu temple located in Lanham, Maryland, right outside of Washington D.C. It is one of the largest temples in the United States. The Temple is located on Cipriano Road one mile away from the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. There are two temples located on the same road. The Murugan Temple of North America is located in the vicinity.
